ABSENTEE VOTING INFORMATION
Citizens can vote absentee via mail or in person
Regular Absentee Voting: Monday through Firday 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
APPLICATIONS FOR ABSENTEE BALLOTS:
- Citizens are required to complete an absentee ballot application prior to being issued a ballot
- Absentee ballot applications can be obtained from the city clerk’s office, via mail, or printed from the elections website.
- If you are mailing your application, no absentee ballot application may be mailed in the same envelope as another voter's absentee ballot application.
- An absentee ballot cannot be counted unless the affidavit is notarized or has the signatures of two witnesses. Electronic or remote notarization is not permitted.
- The last day to apply for an absentee ballot is Thursday, April 9, at 4:30 p.m.
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY RECEIVED YOUR ABSENTEE BALLOT:
- Mailed absentee ballots must be postmarked by Monday, April 1,3 and received by noon on Tuesday April 14.
- Hand-delivered absentee ballots can be delivered to the office of the city clerk no later than Monday, April 13, at 5:00 p.m.
THE ONLY LEGAL WAYS TO RETURN THE ABSENTEE BALLOT:
- forwards the absentee ballot by U.S. Mail
- forwards the absentee ballot by commercial carrier
- personally hands their own absentee ballot to the absentee election manager (or delivers by a designee in the case of emergency absentee voting)
